Ca'lucchenzo, or roughly translated,"The House of pasta and wine," is really an ode to the aforementioned Italian staples, and both are taken to heart by owners Sarah and Zak Baker. This might be the best Italian we have had in the Milwaukee area and you can tell by the rotating menu and handful of seasonal dishes, this is really carefully layered and amazingly deeply flavorful dishes that are meant to be cherished with friends and family. I loved every single dish we had. The foccacia, the fried puffy gnoccho with sharp Parmigiano and pepper, the shishito pepper with walnut pesto... and chances are good, by the time you read this, you may not be able to get these dishes. Have the ragu, in whatever form it comes in. Take the recommendation of the wait staff and chance the wild mushroom risotto... you will not regret it. Have a bottle of wine... or two. Sip and savor. It will be worth it! Splurge on a desert. The pana cotta will taste silky smooth with a sweet fruity topping and crunchy, salty granola topping. Oooo... so good! The wait staff are attententive and fun, with a bit of down to earth Midwestern hospitality, and they know the food and wine they serve! I highly, highly recommend this place if you love Italian food!

Ah, what can I say? This place is our go-to spot. We've enjoyed two date nights here, and both experiences have been fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always taking the time to explain the menu and ingredients in detail. The food is simply outstanding, consistently featuring local and super fresh ingredients. We're so glad we live nearby. Thanks for another amazing meal!

Baseline: the food is incredible. (I live in the neighborhood, come here often, and I have tried a huge variety of the pastas, risottos, antipasti and desserts.) Cocktails are also superb. The menu alone is reason to come, but the people who work here and the atmosphere itself cannot be beat. It's the perfect place whether you're celebrating, entertaining a group, or simply want to enjoy a delicious meal. Worth every penny.

My family had a wonderful dining experience at Ca'Lucchenzo. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was attentive and welcoming. I really appreciate that they source most of their ingredients locally and offer a fresh menu every day. The cozy, intimate ambiance made the evening even more relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Alls I can say is WOW! I love this place. The pasta is made fresh and absolutely perfect! I’ve even eaten at multiple Michelin starred restaurants in Italy, and their pasta noodles holds up to that quality! All fresh ingredients beautifully composed in each dish. I can’t wait to return next week!

Ever since reading a Journal Sentinel article several weeks ago, I have been wanting to go. And then someone gave me a gift card! Made a reservation and got seating right away. It was 6:00pm and the place was already filling up. Our server did a great job throughout the entire night. Explained all the drinks and food choices, offered his personal recommendations, and was very personable. (thanks Anthony) The drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all VERY good. Got the Goat Cheese Crostone, Caciocavallo alla Piastra, and Pappardelle Ragu (with Venison). All flavorful, hot, and good sized portions. They make their own fresh pasta and you can definitely tell the difference (and you can actually watch them make the pasta while you eat) Had leftovers so we saved room for dessert. We shared the Plum and Almond Gallette, with vanilla gelato. That was also amazingly good. The entire evening was excellent.

We had a wonderful time celebrating two birthdays and Mother’s Day! Our table tried all 6 homemade pasta options, they all had such distinct and fresh flavors. We had three kids who all found something they loved. Had a wonderful chocolate martini to end things. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Always amazing food and service. Everything we got was recommended by our server. He even provided us a pairing of wine with our dishes as a sample which of course went perfect with the dish and had to order the full pour glass! We been here many times and always highly recommend Ca’Lucchenzo to friends and family.
